COVID-19 Contingency Plan

Dear Valued Customer,
With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the ongoing seasonal flu virus and the common cold, we want to assure you that public health and safety concerns are our highest priority. Within our La Superior Foods, Inc. manufacturing facilities, we are very intentional about providing clean, sanitary, and safe environments for the production of our products. We have enhanced our already-thorough cleaning and sanitation procedures, as well as product freezing/refrigeration, cooking, cooling, and packaging controls. This includes a comprehensive daily cleaning of all areas of our facilities and various touchpoints (doorknobs, handles, water faucets, handrails, etc.) for the safety of our employees and customers. In addition, our facilities staff continually cleans throughout and between each shift.
Per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there is a low risk of transmission of this virus by food: “We are not aware of any reports at this time of human illnesses that suggest COVID-19 can be transmitted by food or food packaging. However, it is always important to follow good hygiene practices (i.e., wash hands and surfaces often, separate raw meat from other foods, cook to the right temperature, and refrigerate foods promptly) when handling or preparing foods.”
Additionally, all of our ingredients, packaging, and components are sourced within the United States, which adds increased layers of safety to guarantee the integrity and safety of our products.
